27 June 2019

On 25 June 2019, SUEK-Khakassia held an official ceremony for putting six units of mining machinery into operation at the Chernogorsky open pit mine: two Komatsu D375A crawler bulldozers, a Liebherr L586 wheel loader, a Komatsu WD600 wheel bulldozer and two Volvo dump trucks with TONAR trailers. The investment project for the purchase of machinery is aimed at maintaining high production volumes at the Chernogorsky and Abakansky open pit mines.

During the event, Alexey Kilin, CEO of SUEK-Khakassia, welcomed the employees and business partners who attended the ceremony. 'The new machinery we receive from SUEK gives you, dear colleagues, the opportunity to increase labour productivity. This is our main task and is as important as safe and trouble-free work. I wish you safe and efficient operation of this new machinery,' he said.

SUEK has been investing more and more in the development of coal mining, processing and service companies in Khakassia. In 2017, investment in SUEK-Khakassia assets amounted 2.9 billion roubles (about $142 million), whereas in 2018, 5.4 billion roubles (about $85 million) was invested.
