Komatsu PC1250 diesel hydraulic excavator arrived at SUEK’s Apsatsky open-pit mine and was officially put into operation.
The excavator will be mainly involved in overburden removal, thus increasing the productivity by 200 thousand m3 per month.
This type of excavator is one of the most sought after heavy class models in the mining industry. PC1250 boasts a good performance even in adverse conditions and a great digging force. In its class, Komatsu PC1250 has an expanded bucket capacity of 6.7 m3. The excavator is equipped with a closed soundproof cabin protected from falling objects and rollover. In addition, the machine has an adjustable air suspension seat and rear-view mirrors improving the visibility. All this makes the operator’s work very convenient.Komatsu PC1250 is suitable for operation at low temperatures, which will ensure an uninterrupted work of miners in the northern part of Zabaikalye, at the Apsatsky open-pit mine. This is one of the largest deposits of valuable coking coal exploited for six years already. Recently, the unit has undergone an extensive technical re-equipment under SUEK’s investment programme. New mining and auxiliary machinery and equipment is regularly added to the company’s fleet. At the end of 2018, new BelAZ trucks with a lifting capacity of 130 tonnes and Atlas Copco FlexiROC D60 drilling rig were put into operation.
