Murmansk Bulk Terminal, situated at Cargo District 3 at the Murmansk Commercial Seaport, has set several records for transshipping mineral fertilisers.
For the first time in the Terminal's history, it handled 228,000 tonnes in November under seven programmes covering mineral fertilisers produced by PhosAgro, Acron, and EuroChem. The previous record totalled 199,000 tonnes distributed across four programmes (January 2019).
"We have achieved this increase in transshipment by optimising our operating procedures. It was facilitated by effective cooperation between the Murmansk Bulk Terminal, Murmansk Commercial Seaport, consignors and the Murmansk railway station of the Oktyabrskaya Railway. As a result, railcar handling takes less time," said Alexander Masko, Deputy Logistics Director, Director for Port Assets Management at SUEK.
In November, another record was set, for daily railcar handling: 131 units. Previously, the record was 112 railcars, while the average value stood at 80-90 units. The company's management praised the employees involved in the introduction of the new technology.
