Evgeniy Romanov was appointed CEO of JSC Urgalugol and JSC Primorskugol in 2020.
Career
Evgeniy began his career at the Ural Electrochemical Plant, where he held various engineering and managerial positions.
From 1995 to 1998, he served as Advisor to the Deputy Management Board Chairman, Corporate Clientele Deputy Head, Vice President of OJSC ONEXIM-Bank. In 1998, he was appointed Vice President of JSCB Rosbank (in 2000, Rosbank annexed ONEXIM Bank).
In 2000-2001, Evgeniy held the position of Advisor to the First Deputy CEO at RJSC Norilsk Nickel. From 2001 to 2004, he was Deputy CEO and CEO of Kola Mining and Metallurgical Company. In 2004-2008, he served as First Deputy Director, Head of the Mining and Metallurgical Directorate at the Transpolar Division of OJSC Norilsk Nickel.
From 2008 to 2010, Evgeniy was in charge of various units at Rostec State Corporation. In 2008, he took over as CEO at OJSC VSMPO-Avisma Corporation and served until 2009. In 2010, Evgeniy was appointed CEO of OJSC Russian Technologies-Metallurgy.
From 2011 to 2015, he headed OJSC Rosenergoatom Concern. In 2011, he was also elected to the Board of Governors at the World Association of Nuclear Operators.
Education and qualifications
Evgeniy Romanov graduated from Ural Polytechnic Institute (now part of the Ural Federal University) with a degree in Semiconductor and Electrovacuum Engineering (diploma qualification – Engineer - Mechanic of Electronic Engineering).
